Must accept for 26 weeks if offered. This position is posted as Medical/Surgical Telemetry due to EKG requirements for all RNs. The patient population will be primarily Medical/Surgical. 3 shifts of 12 hours each, nights. Holiday rotation and weekend coverage required. Charge RN shifts may be required as needed. Float across all units may be required as needed. All travelers are subject to float as needed. BLS certification is required. Epic charting experience is required. Patient ratios are 1:6. The traveler will be required to pass an EKG exam during onboarding. Responsibilities include the use of Rapid Response teams, blood product administration, and peripheral line care management. The position involves starting IVs and administering medications, including Heparin and Insulin. Isolation precautions will be necessary. Daily tasks will include managing various patient care needs such as BiPAP/CPAP, feeding tubes, and colostomy care. Wound care and interpreting dysrhythmias will also be required. Interdisciplinary support will be available from various healthcare professionals. The patient population will primarily consist of adults and geriatrics.
