Wellspring Nurse Source is seeking a travel nurse RN Med Surg / Telemetry for a travel nursing job in Nashville, Tennessee.

Registered Nurse (RN)

Position Overview

This position involves working in a locked incarcerated unit of a healthcare facility. Candidates must be comfortable and experienced in handling the unique challenges of working with a prison population.

Responsibilities

  • Provide quality nursing care in the MS/Tele units, including forensics, inpatient units, and potentially ICU.
  • Float between various units as required to meet patient care needs.
  • Participate in the holiday rotation, working three out of six designated holidays based on assigned group.
  • Arrange schedule swaps with peers, when possible, to accommodate personal preferences during holidays.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of one year of nursing experience required.
  • Must possess current certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIH, and CPI (MAB is accepted in lieu of CPI).
  • First-time travelers are welcome to apply.
  • Local candidates are accepted at the same rate as travelers.

Schedule

This position requires a day shift, consisting of three 12-hour shifts from 07:00 to 19:00.

Additional Information

All contracts starting in September should extend into the new year to ensure holiday coverage. For agency contracts beginning in September, requests for time off (RTO) will not be approved for the following holidays:

  • Thanksgiving
  • Black Friday
  • Christmas Eve
  • Christmas Day
  • New Year's Eve
  • New Year's Day
