Registered Nurse (RN) - Medical Telemetry

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our Medical Telemetry unit. The ideal candidate will provide quality patient care and support for individuals with various medical conditions, including those with high oxygen demands, dialysis patients, atrial fibrillation, and post-heart catheterization.

Key Responsibilities

Deliver comprehensive nursing care to patients requiring telemetry monitoring.
Floating to other similar units may be required based on patient needs.
Manage patients being stepped down from ICU, ensuring no ventilator or pressor support is necessary.
Administer drips including heparin, cardizem, amiodarone, and initiation of sotolol.
Monitor patient conditions through telemetry and respond effectively to changes in status.

Schedule

The position involves working night shifts, specifically 4x12-hour shifts from 19:00 to 07:30. Weekend coverage will be required every other weekend, subject to change based on unit needs.

Qualifications

Must hold a valid RN license in Tennessee.
At least one year of experience as a Registered Nurse.
EPIC experience required (minimum of 1 year).
Certifications needed: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS.

This unit is open to reviewing first-time travelers based on their experience.
