Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team. The successful candidate will be required to work 3 shifts of 12 hours each per week, floating to other units as necessary and providing weekend coverage as needed.

Responsibilities

The Registered Nurse will provide comprehensive care in a Medsurg Ortho setting, with potential responsibilities across various units including:

• Assist in special procedures such as ENT surgeries (trachs, laryngectomy).
• Support plastic surgeries including I&D and Wound VAC management.
• Assist in general surgical procedures like bowel obstructions, mastectomies, cholecystectomies, appendectomies, gunshot wounds, overdose cases, and hernia repairs.
• Involve in surgical oncology cases, particularly pancreatitis.
• Support colorectal surgeries, including colectomies and colostomies.

Equipment Used

The RN will utilize specialized equipment including:

• Wound VACs
• PCA (Patient-Controlled Analgesia)
• PICC lines
• Drains
• Ostomy care

Qualifications

• Active South Carolina RN license
• BLS certification
• Minimum of 2 years of Medsurg experience required
• 1 year of experience using the EPIC medication system
• Experience in MS/Tele nursing is essential as travelers may float to these floors
