Must-Have:
Candidates must successfully pass the EKG Rhythm Interpretation Exam with a minimum overall score of 80% and a score of 100% on lethal rhythms.
Candidates must have experience in MS/Tele, cardiac monitoring, genitourinary/renal, IV therapy, and phlebotomy.
Cerner experience is required.
Description:
The position requires providing nursing care in a medical-surgical/telemetry setting.
Candidates will monitor patients for changes in condition and respond appropriately.
The patient-to-nurse ratio is 1:6.
The role involves working every other weekend and holiday.
Floating to units of equivalent or lower acuity is required.
All staff members must receive the flu vaccine by the start of the flu season.
Previous charge experience is preferred.
Nurses must demonstrate skills in managing dysrhythmias and administer intravenous insulin protocols.
The facility has interdisciplinary support including physical therapy, respiratory services, and rapid response teams.
Additional patient diagnoses include renal failure, sepsis, diabetes, and chronic ventilation.
Experience with special procedures, such as care of ventilated patients and central line management, is essential.
Candidates should be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and handling multiple tasks simultaneously.
