Job Title: MS/Tele Float RN Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: MS/Tele Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: 2 years of experience required License: Must have a valid nursing license Certifications: BLS, NIHSS required; ACLS preferred Must-Have: Candidate must successfully pass the EKG Rhythm Interpretation Exam with a minimum overall score of 80% and a score of 100% on lethal rhythms. Must have completed at least 1 travel assignment. Every other weekend and holidays as needed are required. Float required within skill set and acuity. A nursing flu vaccine is required. Description: The MS/Tele Float RN will provide care to adult and geriatric patients. The nurse will be responsible for monitoring patients, performing assessments, and administering medications. This role requires expertise in managing telemetry patients and understanding related conditions. Additional skills needed include: Accessing and managing ports. Managing BiPAP/CPAP. Administering blood products. Caring for chest tubes. Handling feeding tubes. Following heparin protocols. Interpreting arterial blood gases. Managing dysrhythmias. Following isolation precautions and use of PPE. Starting and maintaining IVs. Providing wound care and care for tracheostomy patients. The position requires strong teamwork and communication skills. Interdisciplinary support includes therapy and social services among others. This role is crucial in providing comprehensive patient care within the unit.
