Job Requirements

• Current RN license in the state of practice or compact RN license eligibility
• At least 2 years of recent Registered Nurse experience required
• BLS certification required
• ACLS certification required
• NIH Stroke Certification required
• Dysrhythmia interpretation experience required
• Ability to work effectively in an acute care med/surg telemetry nursing setting
• Strong assessment, communication, and critical thinking skills
• Experience with insulin drips preferred
• Comfort working with EPIC EMR and telemetry documentation preferred

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, compassionate nursing care to patients on a Med/Surg Telemetry unit
• Perform thorough assessments and respond quickly to changes in patient condition
• Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized plans of care
• Monitor telemetry rhythms and verify strips as required during the shift
• Administer medications and manage therapies in accordance with nursing standards
• Care for patients with wounds, PICC lines, central lines, BiPAP, CPAP, and high-flow oxygen
• Manage commonly used drips such as Cardizem, Heparin, and Insulin as ordered
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to support coordinated, efficient patient care
• Educate patients and families while promoting comfort, safety, and positive outcomes
• Maintain accurate documentation and uphold high standards of patient privacy and professionalism
