- Shifts Per Week: 3 shifts per week for a 36-hour schedule, with a 48-hour option available
- Contract Length: 13 weeks
- Start Date: 09/28/2026
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,800 - $1,890
- Schedule Notes: Every other weekend and every other holiday; block scheduling cannot be guaranteed
- Charting System: Epic experience required
- Orientation: 24 hours
Job Requirements
- Minimum of 1 year of recent Med/Surg Tele, telemetry nurse, or similar acute care experience
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license or pending Virginia RN license acceptable before start date
- BLS certification required
- Epic charting experience required
- Strong telemetry interpretation skills and comfort managing adult and geriatric patients
- Ability to float within scope of practice as needed
- Experience with medication drips, wound care, tracheostomy care, heparin protocols, and dysrhythmia management preferred
- BSN preferred
Responsibilities
- Deliver safe, high-quality nursing care to adults with medical and telemetry needs on an inpatient Med/Surg Tele unit
- Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms and respond appropriately to changes in patient condition
- Administer medications and therapies, including insulin and heparin protocols as ordered
- Provide care for patients with respiratory illness, renal disease, diabetes, sepsis, heart failure, and other complex conditions
- Support wound care, chest tube management, tracheostomy care, and other unit-specific clinical needs
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to promote safe, effective patient outcomes
- Maintain accurate documentation in Epic and follow unit and facility policies
- Adapt to changing patient needs while maintaining professionalism, teamwork, and excellent bedside care
