Description:
This position is for a Registered Nurse specializing in Oncology.
The unit has a capacity of 24 beds and employs 42 staff members.
Staffing includes 1 Clinical Nurse Coordinator, 4-6 Registered Nurses, 2 Certified Nursing Assistants, and 1 Health Unit Coordinator on day shift, with a similar configuration on night shift.
Patient ratios are typically 1:4 or 1:5.
Standard unit equipment will be used.
The Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system in place is Cerner.
Candidates without the required license will not be considered.
Preferred candidates will have Chemo Certification.
Occasional procedures performed in this unit include pelvic exams, echocardiograms, and thoracentesis.
Candidates should be team players and willing to learn.
Basic hospital policies and guidelines apply to this position.
Staff may be required to work 6 weekend days over the duration of their schedule.
