License: Registered Nurse license required. Certifications: AHA BLS or Red Cross certification required. Must-Have: Associates degree in nursing. Description: General Surgical Unit is a 32-bed unit specializing in exceptional postoperative care for general surgical patients. Nurses in this area have a patient ratio of 1:6 and are trained in all aspects of postoperative care, including pain management, mobility, and bedside procedures. The team values a comfortable and healing environment for each individual patient and their unique needs. This team will closely collaborate with local family practice physicians and hospitalists, as well as surgeons. Must be willing to float to other units as needed. Holiday shift coverage and every other weekend work are required. Candidates may work either 36 or 48 hours per week.
