Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Medical-Surgical Telemetry Duration: 16 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 1 year of recent experience in specialty required License: Registered Nurse license (valid and unrestricted) Certifications: BLS, ACLS Must-Have: - Associate degree in nursing - 1 year of recent experience in the field of specialty is required - Willingness to float to other units Description: This is a multi-specialty unit primarily focused on medical-surgical and telemetry nursing. The ideal candidate must be willing to float to other units as needed. This unit offers a maximum of 36 hours per week with required holidays and every other weekend. The unit is designed to help develop a solid foundation for nursing skills while fostering a culture of family and teamwork. The unit specializes in medical and surgical care and can accommodate up to 36 patients. Medical patients include those requiring dialysis and telemetry monitoring alongside other acute medical needs. Surgical patient populations include orthopedic procedures and general surgeries. The nursing and ancillary staff provide patient-centered care to support recovery with a focus on reaching optimal patient outcomes. There is a strong emphasis on pain management, mobility, and the prevention of complications. The team is dedicated to ensuring a pleasant and comfortable experience for patients in a safe environment. The nurse-to-patient ratio is 1:6 and is supported by a team leader who is not involved in staffing.
