Travel Nurse RN - Med/Surg / Telemetry - $2,000 to $2,200 per week in Milwaukee, WI

Position: Registered Nurse (RN) – Medical-Surgical/Telemetry

Location: 2900 W Oklahoma Ave, Milwaukee, WI

Duration: 13 weeks

Shift: Night Shift, 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM

Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week

Floating: Required to other Medical-Surgical units and ED holding

First-Time Travelers: Not accepted

Provide nursing care to high-acuity Medical-Surgical and Telemetry patients.

Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms and respond to changes in patient conditions.

Care for patients with COPD, chest pain, heart failure, diabetes, cellulitis, wounds, post-operative conditions, and chronic tracheostomies.

Manage patients with ventilators; respiratory therapists manage the ventilator equipment.

Perform wound care, wound-vac management, tracheostomy care, PEG-tube care, tube feedings, and post-operative care.

Initiate IVs, manage central lines, and administer/titrate prescribed Cardizem, heparin, and insulin drips.

Manage TPN and other complex patient-care needs.

Document assessments, interventions, and pain scores accurately in Epic.

Perform charge nurse responsibilities and support unit coordination when assigned.

Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, technicians, and other healthcare professionals to ensure safe patient care.

Float to other Medical-Surgical units and ED holding as required.
