Must-Have:
- Experience in acute care rehabilitation preferred.
- Must have EPIC experience.
- Must be able to interpret laboratory results and perform medication reconciliation.
- Ability to conduct vital sign assessments.
- Proficiency in dressing changes and setting up aseptic/sterile procedure trays.
- Experience in phlebotomy and specimen labeling.
- Ability to perform telephone triage and manage pharmacy calls/patient refill requests.
- Experience dealing with patients with CVA, TBI, ABI, spinal cord injuries, and other neurological diagnoses.
- Ability to handle a patient ratio of 1:6, with occasional adjustments to 1:7 based on acuity levels.
Description:
This position involves working night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM.
Staff will be required to work every third weekend and on holidays as needed.
Float requirements apply; staff may float as needed between different campuses.
The unit focuses on specializing care for patients with rehabilitation needs, including post-stroke, aneurysm recovery, and post-operative surgical care.
The patient age groups include adults and geriatrics.
Daily census averages around 39 patients, with a total of 49 beds in the unit.
Interdisciplinary support is provided by teams including IV, respiratory services, social services, and pharmacy.
Staff should be able to adapt quickly to patient needs and collaborate effectively with a range of healthcare professionals.
Candidates with a background in dysrhythmia interpretation, MS/Tele, and knowledge of patient assessment are preferred.
All candidates must be willing to comply with mandatory health requirements.
