Must-Have:
- Must have experience with interpretation of laboratory results.
- Knowledge of medication reconciliation.
- Ability to take patient health histories and document allergies.
- Proficient in vital sign assessment including blood pressure, respirations, temperature, and pulse.
- Skills in dressing changes and setting up aseptic/sterile procedure trays.
- Competence in specimen collection including capillary, labeling, throat samples, urine clean catch, and phlebotomy.
- Experience in telephone triage and handling pharmacy calls/patient refill requests.
- Familiarity with CVA, TBI, ABI, spinal cord injury, neurological diagnoses, and general debility.
Description:
This position involves working 3 shifts of 12 hours each, during the night.
Travelers will be required to float between campuses as needed.
Specialized care is provided for patients requiring rehabilitation.
Patient ratios will be 1 nurse to 6 patients.
Acute care rehab experience is preferred, and first-time travelers will not be considered.
All travelers must have a minimum of 1 year of nursing experience.
Experience with EPIC charting is required.
An EKG exam must be passed as part of compliance.
Travelers may be floated to various campuses as necessary.
Modules associated with the position will average 2-4 hours and are completed during orientation.
