Description:
This position involves working 3 shifts of 12 hours each, from 7 AM to 7:30 PM.
Travel staff may float between campuses as needed.
The unit provides specialized care for patients with rehabilitation needs, including those with CVA, TBI, ABI, spinal cord injury, and generalized debility.
Patient ratios are typically 1 nurse to 6 patients, with a rotating unit where a nurse may care for 7 patients of equal acuity.
Responsibilities include dressing changes, setting up aseptic and sterile procedure trays, and performing various specimen collections.
Nurses will also conduct telephone triage and manage patient refill requests.
Collaboration with interdisciplinary teams, including IV teams, respiratory services, and social services, is essential for optimal patient care.
The facility has a daily census of approximately 39 patients and houses 49 beds.
