Certifications: BLS required.
Must-Have:
- EPIC experience required.
- Previous charge experience preferred.
Description:
3x12 hour shifts with night schedule.
Every third weekend and holidays as needed.
Float required between facilities if needed.
Acute Care Rehabilitation experience preferred.
Interpretation of laboratory results is necessary.
Medication reconciliation is to be performed.
Patient health questionnaire history allergies must be completed.
Vital signs (blood pressure, respirations, temperature, pulse) need to be monitored.
Dressing changes and setup of aseptic/sterile procedure trays required.
Phlebotomy skills necessary, including capillary and throat specimens.
Telephone triage, pharmacy calls, and patient refill requests are part of the role.
Patients may have diagnoses such as CVA, TBI, ABI, spinal cord injury, and generalized debility.
The inpatient rehabilitation department provides specialized care for qualified patients.
There are two patient ratios: typically 1:6, and occasionally a nurse may care for 7 patients with equal acuity.
Interdisciplinary support includes IV teams, respiratory services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, and more.
A compliance EKG exam must be passed (two attempts allowed).
Modules, which are non-billable, average 2-4 hours, and are unit-based.
