Medical Surgical Telemetry Registered Nurse (RN)

About the Position

We are seeking a dedicated Medical Surgical Telemetry Registered Nurse (RN) for night shifts. This position requires maintaining patient care in a newly constructed unit with advanced monitoring capabilities.

Shift and Requirements

  • Shift: 3x12 Nights (6:45 PM - 7:15 AM)
  • Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend is mandatory
  • On-call Requirement: No
  • Floating: Yes, within the scope to meet facility needs

Unit Details

  • New unit building from the ground up
  • Current capacity: 18 beds
  • Bedside monitoring with telemetry, blood pressure, and pulse oximetry capabilities
  • Charge duties are shared between stepdown and the designated unit
  • No off-shift management scheduled; leadership available on-site during off hours and accessible via phone
  • 24/7 house supervisor coverage

Qualifications

  • Experience Required: Minimum of 2 years in Medical Surgical/Telemetry nursing, including telemetry interpretation of dysrhythmias
  • First-timers: Accepted
  • License Required: South Carolina license or Compact license must be in hand prior to start
  • Certifications Required: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS
  • Preferred Experience: Community hospital experience

Miscellaneous Information

  • Local Radius: 60 miles
  • Locals Accepted: Yes, at a reduced billing rate
  • Guaranteed Hours: Facility may call off 1 shift per 2 weeks

Important Note

During hurricane season (June through November), all employees and contractors may be assigned to emergency response teams. If this is a concern, please refrain from confirming a new or extended assignment during this period. The peak months for hurricane activity are August and September.
