**Join Our Team as a Skilled Night Nurse!**
**Job Description:**
- Are you a dedicated nurse looking to make a meaningful impact in the lives of patients?
- As a Night Nurse, you will practice independently while managing both routine and complex care.
- You will develop long-range goals and effectively cope with clinical contingencies.
- Take on the exciting challenge of leading and delegating tasks to other care providers!
**Responsibilities:**
- Meet expectations of the OneCHRISTUS Competencies: Leader of Self, Leader of Others, or Leader of Leaders.
- Provide nursing care using the nursing process:
- Assessment
- Diagnosis
- Planning
- Intervention
- Evaluation for your assigned patients.
- Address the complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and their families.
- Administer medications and treatments, including monitoring for side effects and effectiveness.
- Document patient history, symptoms, medication, and care provided.
- Assess learning needs and educate patients, family members, and caregivers on critical issues and resources.
**Job Requirements:**
**Education/Skills:**
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing preferred.
**Experience:**
- One year of experience in a related nursing specialty preferred.
**Licenses, Registrations, or Certifications:**
- BLS required (AHA only).
- ACLS required (AHA only).
- RN License in the state of TX or compact.
**Position Requirements:**
**Education/Skills:**
- All newly hired experienced RNs must attend New Nurses Orientation within the first 30 days of hire.
- Participate in a designated preceptorship program with a trained staff member.
- Complete organizational entry competency validation and MedSurg specific competency validation.
- Engage in an annual competency verification process.
**Experience:**
- One year of experience in a related nursing specialty preferred.
**Work Schedule:**
- Night shift: 7 PM - 7 AM.
**Work Type:**
- Full Time.
