Description:
We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to work in an adult-only medical surgical/telemetry unit.
The position involves night shifts with a schedule of three 12-hour shifts per week.
Travelers are not expected to care for pediatric patients.
Nurses will be responsible for managing patients with various diagnoses including diabetes, congestive heart failure, infection, sepsis, COPD, and post-operative care.
The unit handles a range of surgical cases and special procedures and accommodates a large orthopedic program.
Nurses will utilize equipment such as patient lifts, telemetry monitoring, and chest tubes.
The patient-to-nurse ratio is 1:5, ensuring manageable caseloads.
Personnel may be required to float within units of equivalent or lower acuity levels as needed.
Weekend coverage is expected every other weekend, with a total of 6 weekend shifts in a 6-week period.
The ideal candidate will possess strong telemetry skills and a commitment to quality patient care.
