MS Tele Registered Nurse (RN)

About the Position

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced MS Tele Registered Nurse for night shifts, responsible for providing high-quality care in a newly established unit. This position requires a commitment to patient care, collaboration with healthcare teams, and the ability to adapt to the needs of the facility.

Shift Details

• Schedule: 3x12 Night Shifts (6:45 PM - 7:15 AM)
• Patient Ratios: 1:6
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend is mandatory
• On-call Requirement: No
• Floating: Yes, within scope as needed

Unit Information

The nursing unit is a new facility, currently consisting of 18 beds equipped with bedside monitors for telemetry, blood pressure, and pulse oximetry. Charge nurse responsibilities are shared between stepdown and the 3 West unit. Off-shift management will not be scheduled, but leadership will be accessible via phone and present during some hours. A house supervisor will be available 24/7.

Qualifications

• Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in MS/Telemetry nursing, with proficiency in interpretating dysrhythmias.
• Licensure: Valid South Carolina or compact nursing license required.
• Certifications: Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required.
• Preferred Experience: Candidates with prior community hospital experience are encouraged to apply.

Miscellaneous

• Open to block schedule requests, but approval is not guaranteed.
• Local candidates accepted within a 60-mile radius.
• All requests for time off must be included at the time of submission, and approval will depend on facility needs.
• Guaranteed hours: The facility reserves the right to cancel one shift every two weeks.

This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a new nursing unit within an acute care environment. Please note that during hurricane season (June through November), all personnel may be assigned to emergency response teams, and travelers should consider this before accepting a new or extended assignment.
