Description:
This position requires 3x12 hour shifts, nights from 19:00 to 07:30.
Floating between facilities is required.
The unit cares for a variety of patients with multiple co-morbidities, with specialized care for stroke patients.
Nurse to patient ratios are 1:5 to 1:6.
Successful candidates must have the ability to manage and care for telemetry patients, including monitoring and interpreting dysrhythmias.
Experience with isolation precautions and wound care is necessary.
Candidates must demonstrate proficiency in managing PICC lines, central lines, and starting IVs.
Knowledge of CVA and use of nasal cannulas is essential.
All nurses must complete an EKG compliance exam as part of the onboarding process.
This role includes working with interdisciplinary teams including physical therapy, respiratory services, and social services.
Weekend and holiday shifts may be required.
