Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality patient care in a Med/Surg and Telemetry environment, primarily focusing on adult and geriatric populations.

Shift Details

• Shift: Night 3x12 Hours (18:45 - 07:15)
• Weekend Coverage: Every Other

Float Requirements

The Registered Nurse may be floated to other units based on departmental needs and individual skill sets.

Staffing Ratios

Nights staffing ratio is typically 1:6.

Patient Population

This unit cares for adults and geriatrics, with a focus on a variety of patient diagnoses, including but not limited to:

• Stroke/TIA
• Seizure
• Syncope
• Pneumonia (PNA)
• Chest Pain
• Dialysis
• Acute Kidney Failure
• Post Heart Catheterization
• Respiratory Failure
• Encephalopathy
• Congestive Heart Failure (CHF)
• Sepsis

Unit Details

This unit specializes in the management of stroke and TIA patients and accommodates higher acuity Med/Surg patients. Our team places a strong emphasis on enhancing patient experience. We are also equipped to perform peritoneal dialysis and continuous bladder irrigation.

Qualifications

• Must possess a current, active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Tennessee.
• At least 1 year of experience in a Med/Surg and/or Telemetry unit is required.
• At least 1 year of experience with the EPIC electronic health record system is necessary.
• Certifications: ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS are required.
• First-time travelers will not be considered.
