• Shift: 12-hour nights, 4x12 schedule (18:45 - 07:15)
• Schedule Notes: May consider straight 48s or 36/48 alternating schedules
• Weekly Hours: 36 hours per week
• Orientation: 16 hours
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,750 - $1,840
• Employment Type: Travel Nursing

Job Requirements

• Active Texas Registered Nurse (RN) license
• BLS and NIHSS certification required
• Minimum 2 years of experience in Med/Surg Tele, telemetry, stroke, or related acute care nursing
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• Cerner experience preferred
• Willingness to float to other Med/Surg/Telemetry units as assigned
• Ability to meet compliance, onboarding, and documentation deadlines prior to start
• Flu vaccine required; medical, religious exemptions, and declinations allowed

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality patient care to Med/Surg Tele and Stroke patients in an acute care hospital setting
• Monitor patient conditions, assess changes, and respond appropriately to support safe outcomes
• Administer medications, treatments, and nursing interventions according to clinical standards
• Collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, and interdisciplinary healthcare team members
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation in the electronic health record and charting system
• Support patient flow, prioritize assignments, and adapt to changing unit needs
• Float to additional Med/Surg/Tele units when needed
• Deliver compassionate, patient-centered care in a fast-paced healthcare environment
