Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Medical-Surgical/Telemetry Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 1.5 years in medical-surgical and telemetry nursing. License: Must possess an active nursing license prior to the start date. Certifications: ACLS and BCLS required. Must-Have: Telemetry and IV start experience required. Ability to interpret and manage dysrhythmias. Experience with Charting System: Cerner. Willingness to float within the hospital or to nearby affiliate hospitals is required. Description: We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse specializing in Medical-Surgical and Telemetry. This position involves working with a patient population that primarily includes adults and geriatrics. The successful candidate will care for patients with various medical conditions, including COPD exacerbation, pneumonia, COVID-19, chest pain, and small bowel obstruction, among others. The unit will also handle a small surgical case load, typically involving 1-3 post-surgical cases per day. Candidates must be prepared to work every other weekend and handle a patient ratio of 1:6. The nursing environment is fast-paced and requires teamwork and interdisciplinary support, including collaboration with physical therapy, respiratory services, and pharmacy. Ideal candidates will have experience that includes charge nurse responsibilities and familiarity with managing diverse patient needs.
