TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified Med/Surg / Tele RN in Wilmington, North Carolina, 28401!

Job Title: MS/Tele Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Medical-Surgical/Telemetry Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours (1845 - 0715) Experience: Minimum 2 years required; will consider first-time travelers if experienced License: Current Nursing License Certifications: BLS required Must-Have: Pass EKG Testing prior to start for this specialty Description: MS/Tele RN - Inpatient Surgery Unit RTO after booking is not allowed and cannot be worked out onsite. Any call offs or additional RTO on the unit may possibly lead to a cancellation. RN must be comfortable with ratios of 1:6. 36 or 48 hour contracts accepted. Will accept longer contracts of 13-26 weeks. Floating is required as needed. Every other weekend is required. No call is required. Ratios of 1:6 for the surgical/medicine inpatient floor. Contract staff will be assigned to work a Storm Team and/or Hurricane Team. Contract staff may be required to report to work during a catastrophic event, mass casualty or disaster. Consolidation to a Centralized Office mid-contract may occur and contract staff may be preassigned to units as needed. Patient diagnoses include a wide range of surgical and trauma cases such as cellulitis, appendicitis, cholecystitis, diverticulitis, and various cancers. Special procedures include a variety of inpatient surgical procedures such as cholecystectomy, appendectomy, hernia repair, and kidney stone removal. Special equipment includes wound vacs, chest tubes, and various drains. Unit systems include Pyxis, EPIC, and SBAR. A teamwork approach is essential, and adherence to behavioral expectations in all interactions with patients and staff is necessary. Candidates must be open to floating within and near the facility as per job description. This position will require working during holidays with certain scheduling expectations. RTO must be pre-approved, and additional RTO cannot be requested after signing.
