# Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse (MS/Tele, Orthopedic Spine) – South Carolina

Schedule: 12-hour shifts with 1:5-6 nurse-to-patient ratio; every other weekend requirement (6 weekend shifts per contract); 12 hours of orientation provided
Highlights:- Specialized 26-bed orthopedic spine telemetry unit focusing on post-operative spinal surgery patients including laminectomies, spinal fusions, and discectomies
- Comprehensive patient care including pain management, physical therapy coordination, and mobility support with integrated interdisciplinary teams
- Diverse case mix including medical-surgical, telemetry, cardiac monitoring, low-risk ACS, neurological conditions, and post-procedural care
- Special procedures include bedside lumbar puncture, post-cath care (radial/femoral), post-surgical monitoring, renal biopsy follow-up, CT angio, and heparin drip management
- 13-week contract at a Level I Adult and Level II Pediatric Trauma Center with 641 licensed beds
- 1 year of Epic EMR experience required; pre-assignment modules are billable up to 16 hours
Requirements:- Active South Carolina or multistate compact RN license (pending licenses not accepted)
- Minimum 1 year of recent RN experience; 2 years preferred
- Orthopedic nursing experience required
- 1 year of Epic EMR charting experience required
- Experience with 5-6 patient ratios preferred
- Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
- Dysrhythmia certification required
- First-time travelers accepted; community hospital experience preferred
- Must meet distance requirements from facility locations
