Registered Nurse (RN) - MS/Tele

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) with experience in Long-Term Acute Care (LTAC), Medical/Surgical (MS), and Telemetry to join our team. The ideal candidate will assist in providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in the LTAC MS/Tele unit.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, utilizing the Omnicell medication system.
• Monitor patient vital signs and report any changes to the healthcare team.
• Deliver effective patient education and support for patients and their families.
• Participate in interdisciplinary team rounds to discuss patient care and contribute to care planning.
• Float to different units as needed based on patient care requirements and unit needs.
• Participate in weekend coverage on an every-other-weekend basis, with flexibility to adapt based on unit needs.

Qualifications

• Valid South Carolina nursing license.
• ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications are required.
• Minimum of one year of experience in LTAC, MS/Tele, or Progressive Care Unit (PCU).
• Demonstrated experience with the EPIC electronic health record system.
• Must possess strong critical thinking and clinical assessment skills.
• First-time travelers will be considered based on relevant experience.

Schedule

This position requires a commitment to a night shift schedule of three 12-hour shifts, from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM. Flexibility to float between units and assist with weekend coverage is essential based on unit needs.
