Medical Surgical/Telemetry Registered Nurse (RN)

About the Position

We are seeking a dedicated Medical Surgical/Telemetry Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team. The successful candidate will work three 12-hour shifts during the day, with a shift start time of 6:45 AM and end time of 7:15 PM.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide patient care in a fast-paced environment with a focus on medical-surgical and telemetry needs.
• Maintain a patient-to-nurse ratio of 1:5-6, ensuring high-quality care and attention to each patient.
• Participate in scheduled weekend shifts, required every other weekend.
• Float within designated units as necessary to support facility needs.

Qualifications

• Two years of experience as a Registered Nurse, with a strong background in medical-surgical and telemetry nursing.
• Current South Carolina license or a Compact license is required prior to start.
• Certifications: BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) are required. NIH Stroke Scale certification is preferred.
• Previous charge experience and community hospital experience are preferred.
• Telemetry competency is required.

Work Environment

This is an acute care hospital setting with a total of 286 staffed beds. The organization is recognized for its commitment to patient care and holds a Level III Trauma designation. Employees will be expected to wear royal blue scrubs and utilize Epic for charting.

Additional Information

• Parking is provided at no cost.
• Travelers should be aware of the hurricane season, running from June through November, during which time all employees may be assigned to emergency response teams.
• All requests for time off must be included at the time of submission and will be based on facility needs.
• Travelers may be required to work flexible hours and shifts as necessary to meet patient care needs.
