Medical-Surgical/Telemetry Registered Nurse (MS/Tele RN)

Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Medical-Surgical/Telemetry Registered Nurse to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess strong clinical skills, excel in patient care, and be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Shift Details

• Schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, Nights
• Shift Timing: 6:45 PM - 7:15 AM
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
• On-call Requirement: No

Patient Care Ratios

This position involves a patient care ratio of 1:5-6.

Floating Requirements

The Registered Nurse may be required to float within the scope of practice to meet facility needs, including floating between similar units or sister facilities.

Qualifications

• Experience: A minimum of 2 years of nursing experience is required.
• Licensure: Current South Carolina RN license or Compact license must be in hand prior to start.
• Certifications:
  • BLS (Basic Life Support) - Required
  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) - Required
  • NIH Stroke Scale certification - Preferred
• Competency Requirements: Telemetry competency is required.
• Preferred Experience: Previous charge experience and community hospital experience are preferred.

Additional Information

• Open to accommodating block scheduling upon request, but not guaranteed.
• No parking costs are associated with this position.
• Guaranteed hours: The facility is allowed to call off 1 shift every 2 weeks.

Seasonal Considerations

Travelers should be aware that during hurricane season (June through November), all employees and contractors may be assigned to emergency response teams. Please consider this when applying for new or extended assignments.

Charting System

All documentation will be conducted using the Epic system.
