Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Med/Surg Tele Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience required; travel nursing experience preferred. License: RN license required. Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS. Must-Have: Previous charge experience preferred. Experience managing patient ratios of 5:1. Familiarity with accessing and managing ports, as well as telemetry monitoring. Ability to interpret dysrhythmias and arterial blood gases. Experience with various medical procedures including blood product administration and feeding tube management. Description: Start date is preferred within the next 3-5 weeks. The unit primarily handles med-surg diagnoses and can accept TIA/CVA patients if appropriate. Patient care includes adults and geriatrics with a daily census of approximately 11 patients. The unit has a total of 16 beds. Interdisciplinary support involves teams such as IV, physical therapy, respiratory, and rapid response. Peak workload includes patient care, charting, and managing medical equipment. Compliance with drug screening is mandatory prior to arrival. Candidates are advised to avoid substances that might lead to a positive drug test result. Travel experience is required, and clinicians must complete lab items promptly upon accepting an offer.
