Medical Surgical Registered Nurse (RN)

Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Medical Surgical Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team. This position is focused on providing exceptional care to adult and geriatric patients in a fast-paced medical surgical unit.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality nursing care to patients in accordance with established standards and protocols.
• Monitor patient conditions, administer medications, and manage intravenous (IV) therapy, including drips such as cardizem, tridil, and amiodarone.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans.
• Respond to medical emergencies and assist in critical care situations as needed.
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation to ensure continuity of care.

Shift Details

Shifts available are 3x12 or 4x12 hour schedules during the night, based on traveler preference. Block scheduling is utilized to enhance work-life balance.

Qualifications

• Current RN license in Alabama or a Compact License is required at the time of application.
• Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience is required.
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply.
• Certifications required: ACLS and BLS.
• Ability to manage patient ratios of up to 1:6-7.
