Job Opportunity – Med/Surg Telemetry Registered Nurse – North Carolina

Start Date: October 2026
Location: Wilmington, North Carolina
Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants
Schedule: Night shift, 1845-0715, 36 or 48 hours per week, every other weekend required

Highlights:
  • Med/Surg Telemetry unit with 1:6 patient ratios on a 36-bed unit
  • 13-26 week contracts available with first-time travelers accepted
  • Diverse patient population including diabetes, CHF, renal failure, COPD, sepsis, post-surgical cases, and more
  • Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including Rapid Response Teams, Pharmacy, Respiratory Services, and Physical Therapy
  • Self-scheduling with flexible 36 or 48-hour weekly options
  • 24-hour orientation with Epic charting system and Pyxis medication management
Requirements:
  • Active North Carolina or Compact RN license
  • Minimum 2 years of recent Med/Surg Telemetry experience required
  • BLS and NIHSS certifications required
  • ACLS and Telemetry certifications preferred
  • Must pass EKG competency testing prior to start date
  • Experience with 1:6 patient ratios preferred
  • Epic charting experience and community hospital experience preferred
  • Charge nurse experience preferred

  • Must be available to work major holidays (2 of 3 required per contract)
  • Willingness to float to nearby campuses as needed (up to 32 minutes away)
  • Flu vaccination required (medical/religious exemptions only)

  • Pre-start online modules required (approximately 8-10 hours, non-billable)
  • All compliance testing must be completed within 48 hours of contract signing
