Registered Nurse (RN) - Medical Surgical/Telemetry

Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Medical Surgical/Telemetry unit. This position requires floating based on unit needs and includes weekend coverage requirements. The ideal candidate will offer compassionate care while executing nursing responsibilities in a dynamic environment.

Shift Details

  • Schedule: 3x12 Night Shifts (19:00 - 07:30)
  • Floating is required based on unit needs.
  • Weekend coverage is necessary every other weekend, with potential modifications based on unit demands.

Responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality patient care in a Medical Surgical/Telemetry setting.
  • Perform nursing procedures and administer medications in accordance with established protocols.
  • Utilize Omnicell for medication management and adhere to documentation standards using EPIC.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
  • Pass an EKG exam and complete core competencies as required for floating.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a Medical Surgical/Telemetry nursing field is required.
  • At least 1 year of experience with the EPIC documentation system.
  • Current South Carolina RN license is required.
  • Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS.

Additional Information

This position will operate primarily within a Medical Surgical unit, with responsibilities extending to Telemetry. Candidates must possess a strong foundation in both areas to ensure comprehensive care delivery to patients.
