Job Description

This position involves assessing, planning, implementing, evaluating, and documenting nursing care for patients based on organizational policies and professional nursing practice standards. The RN will be accountable for the quality of nursing services provided by themselves and any team members under their supervision. Utilizing specialized knowledge and judgment, the RN will assess data, plan care, provide interventions, and evaluate care that is appropriate for the physical and developmental age of assigned patients.

Shift Details

• Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM
• 36 hours guaranteed per week
• Weekend schedule to be determined by the facility
• On-call schedule to be determined by the facility

Qualifications

• 2+ years of recent experience in Med Surg/Telemetry
• 2+ years of experience working with stroke patients
• Willingness to care for Telemetry patients as needed
• Must obtain NIHSS Certification within 48 hours if offered
• Must obtain mRs/SIREN Certification within 48 hours if offered
• Must obtain Basic EKG certification and score 85% or higher within 48 hours if offered
• COVID vaccination required; declinations are not accepted
• Previous travel experience preferred
• Local candidates are accepted

Compliance Requirements

Candidates must be willing to complete a 48-hour compliance process if offered the position. Compliance with all required certifications and training is non-negotiable.

Additional Information

Candidates are permitted to request time off equivalent to one week of contracted hours. Time off can be requested in blocks or as separate days, ensuring it aligns with the facility’s scheduling needs. Orientations are scheduled every other week, and candidates will be considered for orientations up to 6 weeks in advance.

The facility is comprised of 257 licensed beds, providing both acute and sub-acute care. It handles a significant volume of admissions and emergency room visits annually, reflecting a long-standing commitment to merging community healthcare with university-level medical services.
