Description:
Position involves providing care to adult and geriatric patients.
The patient population includes those with CHF, CP, ARF, COPD, uncontrolled diabetes, CKD, and post-cardiac cath care.
The unit typically has 22 beds with patient ratios of 5:1 or 6:1.
Equipment used includes Welch Allyn vital sign machines, Hoyer Lift with weight scale, Abbott glucometer, computers on wheels, TR band, and Baxter IV pumps.
The electronic health record system in use is Meditech.
This role requires a team-oriented individual who is flexible and adapts well to changing situations.
Preferred qualifications include experience in managing discharges and admissions along with knowledge of basic cardiac drips.
Candidates should possess strong critical thinking skills and the ability to interpret EKGs effectively.
The position may require floating to different areas as needed.
Weekend hours are expected, with a requirement to work every other or every third weekend.
