Description:
The position requires a registered nurse to work night shifts.
The nurse will float to other units or nearby facilities as needed.
Patient diagnoses include orthopedic and bariatric conditions.
Experience in a telemetry unit is essential.
The medication system used is Pyxis.
Patients ratios are 5-6 during the day and 6:1 at night.
Daily census is approximately 20 patients.
The unit is equipped with 25 beds.
Interdisciplinary support includes physical therapy, respiratory services, social services, pharmacy, and more.
The nurse must have skills in central line care, dysrhythmia management, and oxygen administration.
Modules are required to be completed prior to starting the assignment and are billable.
Floating to qualified units is a requirement due to census needs.
Healthcare workers will be expected to maintain competency in assigned tasks.
