Description:
The position requires night shifts, working three 12-hour shifts per week.
Floating to other units may be required based on census needs.
Weekend coverage is necessary, typically every other weekend but may vary.
The unit specializes in a surgical population, focusing on Vascular and Urology patients.
Average patient stay is 1-2 days.
Nurses will receive patients from recovery, ICU transfers, and emergency departments.
The nurse to patient ratio is 1:5 on both day and night shifts.
Support staff is available to assist on both shifts.
Travelers will manage 5-6 med-surgical patients, who are non-monitor.
Responsibilities include dressing changes and care for patients with wound vacs and drains.
Previous experience with EPIC EMR is required.
All travelers must hold active certifications in ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS.
