Start Date: September 21, 2026

Location: North Carolina

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: 12-hour night shifts (18:45 - 07:15); 36-48 hours per week available; every other weekend required; floating to other medical-surgical units as needed

Highlights:

  • Fast-paced gastroenterology and medical-surgical unit with 10 telemetry beds for cardiac monitoring
  • Diverse patient population including GI conditions, blood loss/anemia, infections, renal patients, post-surgical GI patients, and telemetry patients
  • Target nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:6, with occasional 1:7 during high-census periods
  • High patient turnover with approximately one-third of beds cycling daily
  • EPIC charting system with Pyxis medication management and SBAR communication protocol
  • Contract lengths of 13 weeks or longer accepted; 36-hour orientation provided

Requirements:

  • Active RN license (North Carolina or Compact state license)
  • Minimum 2 years of acute care nursing experience required
  • Must have successfully completed at least 2 prior travel assignments (first-time travelers not accepted due to unit complexity)
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification required
  • Proficient IV start skills required
  • Must pass EKG testing prior to start date
  • Telemetry experience strongly preferred
  • Experience with dysrhythmia interpretation, central line management, blood product administration, and Epic charting preferred
  • Flu vaccination required (medical/religious exemptions considered)
