Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: MedSurg/Tele Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: 12hr Night Shift Hours per Shift: 36 Experience: Minimum 18 months of Med/Tele experience License: RN License Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS Must-Have: Cardiac rhythm interpretation skills Experience with non-titrating cardiac drips (Cardizem/Amiodarone) General medical/surgical skillset EPIC experience Description: We are seeking a Registered Nurse specializing in MedSurg/Tele. The unit consists of 32 beds with an average census of 32 patients. The patient population includes those with stroke, seizure, altered mental status, generalized weakness, acute kidney injury/chronic kidney disease, falls, cellulitis, and non-healing wounds. The RN to patient ratio during both day and night shifts is typically 1:5-6 and may increase to 1:7-8 during surge staffing. Support staff includes CNAs, receptionists, charge nurses, phlebotomy, IV/VAT teams, dedicated pharmacists, case managers, and nurse educators. Technology and equipment used on the unit include EPIC for electronic medical records, Alaris IV pumps, and Philips monitors. Floating may be required between facilities within the designated region and according to scope of practice. A family-oriented culture is fostered within the department.
