Job Summary:
The organization is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for a Medical Surgical with Telemetry (MS TELE) specialty position in Washington, D.C. The role involves providing comprehensive patient care on an intermediate care unit, primarily during night shifts. The ideal candidate will demonstrate excellent assessment skills and the ability to deliver age-appropriate care in a fast-paced environment.
Job Details:
- Location: Washington, District of Columbia
- Schedule: Nights, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week
- Required Qualifications:
- BSN (Bachelor of Science in Nursing) highly desired
- Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state/district required
- Med/Surg Telemetry experience 2 years required
- Cerner Electronic Health Record experience required
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification required
- NIHSS (National Institute of Health Stroke Scale) certification required
- Must reside within 50 miles of the facility
- Graduate of an accredited or NLN-approved RN program required
- Must have a minimum of 2 years of RN experience
- Preferred Qualifications:
- Highly desired BSN degree
- Additional Information:
- Fulfills the needs of the patients, families, and community by performing a variety of patient care functions in accordance with licensure, certification, training, and regulatory requirements.
- Delivers care to patients in a competent, capable, caring, and efficient manner.
- Applies knowledge of growth and development over the lifespan to provide age-appropriate care.
- Performs initial and ongoing assessment on all assigned patients, including a review of systems, with appropriate documentation.
- Completes admission assessments within established timeframes following policy and procedures.
