Description:
This is a night shift position.
The schedule is 3 shifts per week, from 7 PM to 7:30 AM.
Floating to other units is required based on unit needs.
Weekend coverage is required every other weekend but may vary based on staffing needs.
The position involves working in an LTAC Medical/Surgical/Telemetry environment.
The medication system used is Omnicell.
Candidates should have experience with the following clinical skills:
- Antiarrhythmics
- Anticoagulation therapy
- Antihypertensives
- Arterial line management
- Blood glucose monitoring
- Chest tube management
- Central line care and management
- Complex wound care
- IV insulin protocols
- Management of dysrhythmias
- Administration of medications and monitoring of patients.
An interdisciplinary team provides support, including Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, Phlebotomy, Radiology, Social Services, and Pharmacy.
The average daily patient census is 15, with an expected patient-to-nurse ratio of 5.
Candidates must be willing to float to other units as requested.
All agency staff are required to comply with the necessary floating policies.
Travelers must have relevant experience and complete pre-assignment testing and modules before the start of the contract.
