Description:
The position requires working 3 nights per week from 19:00 to 07:30.
Weekend coverage is required every other weekend, subject to change based on need.
The patient population includes individuals with higher oxygen demands, dialysis patients, atrial fibrillation, and those post-heart catheterization.
Special procedures are performed in a step-down capacity from ICU, with no ventilation or pressor support required.
Accepted drips include heparin, cardizem, amiodarone, and initiation of sotalol.
The nurse is expected to manage complex medical needs, including telemetry monitoring.
Skills required include, but are not limited to, cardiac telemetry, medication administration, and management of various patient care procedures.
The nurse must demonstrate competence in floating to different units as necessary, ensuring all essential tasks are performed with documented competencies.
Interdisciplinary support is provided by various healthcare specialists.
Daily patient census ranges around 28, with standard patient ratios typically maintained.
Candidates must possess effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a healthcare team.
