Contract | Night Shift | 3x12-Hour Shifts (18:45–07:15) | Expected 36–48 hours/week

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide direct patient care on a fast-paced Medical Surgical/Telemetry unit serving orthopedic, neuro spine, post-surgical, and general med-surg patient populations
  • Manage pain assessment and pain management for orthopedic and spine patients, maintaining close monitoring and timely intervention
  • Perform IV starts and telemetry monitoring as core clinical duties
  • Float to other med-surg units within the facility as needed to meet staffing and census demands
  • Adhere to every-other-weekend requirement; any weekend call-off must be made up on a weekend
  • Must pass EKG testing prior to start

Required Qualifications

  • Active RN license – NC state or Compact license required
  • Minimum 2 years of RN experience with orthopedic nursing experience required
  • BCLS certification required
  • NIH Stroke Scale certification required
  • Proficiency in IV starts and telemetry monitoring
  • First-time travelers considered with Epic EMR experience
  • Local candidates are welcome; local rate differential applies for candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility

Preferred Experience / Skills

  • ACLS certification
  • Charge nurse experience
  • Level I Trauma experience
