Description:
The RN will work in a 26-bed unit specializing in spinal surgeries.
This unit integrates pain management, physical therapy, and mobility support.
Patient diagnoses include Med/Surg, Tele, cardiac conditions, diabetes, hypertension, and COPD.
Special procedures performed include bedside lumbar puncture and post-surgical care.
Telemetry capabilities are essential.
Nurse-patient ratios are 1:5-6 for adult patients.
The facility prioritizes keeping staff in their home unit but may require floating to other units.
Agency staff must float to other areas as needed, based on qualifications and competencies.
Emergency response teams and interdisciplinary support services are available.
All scheduled requests should be submitted in advance for consideration.
Training in electronic medical records is required, with a minimum of one year of experience.
BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications are necessary for this position.
All staff are expected to adhere to the call-off policy of the facility.
Weekly weekend shifts are required, with every other weekend scheduled.
Pre-assignment testing and modules are required before commencing the role.
Travelers must be located a specific distance from the facility to qualify for the position.
Candidates should demonstrate the ability to provide comprehensive patient care.
All team members must maintain compliance with ongoing training requirements.
