Job Opportunity – Medical/Surgical Telemetry Registered Nurse – North Carolina

Schedule: 12-hour day shifts, 36 or 48 hours per week available. Every other weekend required. Patient ratio 1:6. Contract length up to February 27, 2027.
Highlights:
- Primary neuroscience unit specializing in stroke care, seizure disorders, traumatic brain injuries, and other neurological diagnoses
- 42-bed unit with 4-bed Epilepsy Monitoring Unit (EMU) for specialized care
- Epic EMR system with comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, rapid response, pharmacy, and social services
- 36-hour orientation program to ensure successful onboarding
- Floating may be required to other Medical/Surgical and Telemetry areas based on facility needs
- Contract designed to provide coverage through the holiday season with potential for extended assignments
Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience with at least 1 year of direct Medical/Surgical experience required
- Previous travel nursing experience required (at least 2 successful travel contracts completed)
- Active RN license (North Carolina or Compact state)
- Required certifications: BLS, NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
- ACLS certification preferred
- Proficiency in IV starts, telemetry monitoring, interpretation and management of dysrhythmias
- Experience with neuroscience patient populations including stroke, seizures, subdural hematomas, and traumatic brain injuries
- Epic charting system experience required
- Must pass EKG testing prior to start date
- Flu vaccination required (medical/religious exemptions only)
