The shift consists of three 12-hour night shifts from 7 PM to 7 AM. The patient-to-nurse ratio is 1:5. Every other weekend is required. On-call is rare and only required for the first four hours if needed. Floating to meet facility needs may be required. Candidates with at least 2 years of Medical Surgical/Telemetry experience are preferred. First-time travelers are accepted for this position. BLS and ACLS certifications are required. Applicants should also have NIHSS certification preferred. Specific skills required include managing ports, cardiac telemetry, and interpreting dysrhythmias. Applicants must demonstrate competence in telemetry monitoring and post-cardiac procedures. Willingness to accommodate block scheduling is contingent upon managerial approval. Local candidates may be accepted on a case-by-case basis. All requests for time off must be included at the time of application.
