Job Summary
Medical Surgical with Telemetry (MS/Tele) registered nurse (RN) position in a short-term acute care facility. This role involves floating across various units to meet the needs of the organization, with responsibilities that may include charge nurse duties on small units. The assignment offers a dynamic environment supporting adult and geriatric patient populations, with a focus on providing quality patient care in a fast-paced setting.
Job Details
- Schedule: Night shifts, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Valid US or Canadian nursing license with at least 2 years of experience in medical-surgical and telemetry units, charge nurse experience, ACLS, BLS, NIHSS certifications, proficiency in Cardiac Telemetry, interpretation of dysrhythmias, use of PPE, management of dysrhythmias, nasal cannula, and telemetry. Candidate must have experience working within the US.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience with EPIC charting system, cardiology telemetry, and small-unit charge responsibilities.
- Additional Information: Nurse to patient ratio varies from 1:4 to 1:6 depending on acuity. The position may include some charge responsibilities on small units staffed with 1-2 RNs supported by LPNs and CNAs. Candidates may be expected to float between nearby facilities. Flexibility with working holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day) is required. References covering at least 1 year in the last 3 years and recent work at a Providence facility (permanent, contract, or registry/per-diem) are required. Candidates must include specific scheduling requests, including holiday coverage, during submission. Must be committed to working 3 of 5 holidays and not to contact the facility directly unless for an interview.
- Submission Requirements: All candidates must include responses to specified questions about prior work at Providence facilities, along with two references covering 1 year (6 months for CNAs) within the last 3 years.
