Job Summary
Medical Surgical with Telemetry (MS Telemetry) Nurse in an unspecified location. This position involves working on a Surgical Acute unit that cares for post-surgical, medical, and telemetry patients, with opportunities to serve as a Night Shift Charge Nurse. The role requires flexibility to float across units and dedication to providing high-quality patient care.
Job Details
- Certifications, Education, and Experience Requirements: BLS certification; at least 2 years of experience; current license (including compact license accepted); minimum 1 year of travel or relevant experience; at least 5 years of patient ratio experience; charting experience required with EPIC system; ability to work nights, with 36 hours scheduled per week.
- Schedule: Night shift, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Additional Responsibilities: Routinely working as Night Shift Charge RN for the MS/Tele 7th Floor. Floating between like units is required. Must work 4 weekend shifts or every other weekend and be available to work 3 of the 5 holidays.
- Unit Details: Surgical Acute unit with 29 beds, caring for post-surgical, medical, and telemetry patients. Wide range of medical-surgical diagnoses with monitoring via an on-site Central Monitoring Unit.
- Ancillary Support: IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, pharmacy, and rapid response teams.
- Candidate Submission Requirements: Two references covering 1 year within the last 3 years and details on any prior employment at a Providence facility, including location and dates worked.
