Job Summary:
Medical Surgical with Telemetry (MS TELE) Registered Nurse (RN) position in Lubbock, Texas. This role involves working on a 30-bed orthopedic trauma unit, providing post-op care management, blood administration, and wound vac management. The position requires float between units, on-call availability, weekend coverage, and adherence to established patient ratios.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: Nights shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum 36 hours per week
  • Required Qualifications: Valid Texas RN license, at least 1 year of relevant experience in MS/Telemetry, Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS); experience with orthopedic trauma units, interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, use of Rapid Response/Code teams, peripheral line care, oxygen administration, blood product administration, wound care, and post-surgical care required.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Previous experience in trauma or orthopedic units, experience with electronic medical record systems, and travel experience preferred.
  • Float: Float rotation may be required between units.
  • Additional Information: Responsibilities include post-op care management, blood transfusions, wound vac application, and orthopedic trauma procedures including traction and joint replacements. The unit provides interdisciplinary support including physical therapy, respiratory services, radiology, social services, pharmacy, and transportation.
