Position: Registered Nurse (RN) – Telemetry/Medical-Surgical
Location: Glenview, IL
Duration: 8 weeks
Shift: 12-hour Night Shift, 7:00 PM–7:30 AM
Floating: May float to other Medical-Surgical units and care for boarded patients in the Emergency Department. This role does not involve caring for regular ED patients.
Provide nursing care to adult Medical-Surgical and Telemetry patients.
Monitor cardiac rhythms, interpret EKGs, and recognize changes in patient conditions.
Perform nursing assessments and develop, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans.
Administer medications and treatments according to provider orders and facility protocols.
Monitor vital signs and promptly report significant clinical changes.
Care for boarded patients in the Emergency Department when assigned, as well as patients on other Medical-Surgical units.
Maintain accurate patient documentation using the Epic electronic health record.
Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to coordinate treatment and support patient recovery.
Follow infection prevention, patient safety, and hospital policies.
